Dick Valentine Solo Acoustic Show

191016_DV.jpg

A tender acoustic performance by Electric Six frontman Dick Valentine precedes the performance by the full band at The Basement on Oct. 16, the first such acoustic performance by the self-proclaimed “American Troubador” in the state of Ohio. Valentine performs stripped down versions of Electric Six songs as well as selections from his five solo records. Dick Valentine absorbs your tenderness throughout the performance and gives it back to you tenfold, like some sort of photosynthetic valve. He feeds on your tenderness like Vladimir Putin feeds on freedom. Your tenderness will soon be his, but his latest CD “Illuminati Bees” will soon be yours as you may buy it directly from him onstage in the middle of his set.

If Tenacious D and Dolly Parton got drunk and had a baby, you'd get the delightfully twangy & hilariously filthy musical comedy duo Reformed Whores! Southern bred, but NYC based, Katy Frame & Marie Cecile Anderson have been featured on IFC, PBS, CBS, and many other three-letter networks. The girls have spread their gospel near and far, touring the USA opening for big names like "Weird Al" Yankovich, Les Claypool, Dweezil Zappa, and Reverend Horton Heat. Their sophomore album "Don't Beat Around the Bush" debuted in March 2016 on the top 20 iTunes comedy chart and their YouTube channel just hit over a million views!
